Wildfire Energy had the pleasure of hosting two federal members of parliament at the MIHG Pilot Plant on the 27th January 2021! The Hon Trevor Evans MP, Federal Member for Brisbane and Assistant Minister for Waste Reduction and Environmental Management and the Hon Ross Vasta MP, Federal Member for Bonner. During the visit the pair were shown the MIHG pilot plant and we discussed the advantages that small-scale energy from waste technologies can bring to improving waste management, increasing recycling and reducing emissions.
The MPs also congratulated Wildfire Energy's recent success in securing a competitive grant from the Business Research and Innovation Initiative (BRII). As part of that initiative, Wildfire Energy is working closely with the Grains Research and Development Corporation to study the opportunities for implementing circular economy principles on cropping farms with a particular focus on how crop residues can be processed in the MIHG technology to produce low cost hydrogen for use in farm equipment and to make renewable fertilisers.
